Join the team

The 11/11 project is a not-for-proft, volunteer project which is maintained by volunteers in their spare time. Every volunteer’s unique skillset and contribution is greatly valued.

To join our team, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be 18 years old at time of application,

  • Be both a citizen of and resident in at least one of the following countries:

    • The United States of America, The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Mongolia, Japan, The Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Tonga
    • Any European Union Member State
    • The following non-EU countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, North Macedonia, Moldova, Norway, Ukraine

      NOTE: Regardless of whether an applicant satisfies the citizenship and residency requirements stated above, if an applicant is simultaneously a dual citizen of a country not listed above (eg: a dual British-Pakistani citizen residing in Germany), for security reasons they are unable to satisfy the above requirement.

  • Be a competent user of and have your own access to the following systems:

    • Google drive services, particularly google docs, slides and sheets,
    • Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft word, powerpoint and excel,
    • Discord, Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet,

  • Be a proficient, if not fluent English speaker (at or above CEFR level B2/C1),

    • Applicants who are citizens of the following country are exempt from proving English language proficiency: The United States, The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

      If one is a resident of the above countries listed as exempt from the language requirement but not a citizen of any of them, one must still prove English language proficiency to join the team. This can be done either through a virtual interview with some of our team members, or by submitting an English language examination certificate which demonstrates proficiency around CEFR level B2 at the minimum. Other certificates that prove proficiency in another framework other than CEFR which is equivalent to the stated CEFR level requirements are acceptable.

  • Be able to commit a minimum of 8 hours a week to volunteer work at the 11/11 project.
